Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 30, 2026 · Nova Scotia, Canada
This policy explains how Styla handles personal information in connection with the service. It is intended to support the transparency, consent, access and safeguarding principles applicable to Canadian commercial organizations.
Shopify integration
When a merchant connects Shopify, Styla imports product names, descriptions, images, options, prices, availability and inventory to create and display merchant-reviewed outfits. The integration does not request Shopify customer or order records. Store access credentials are encrypted on the server and are not included in storefront scripts.
Requested styling may send product photographs and outfit references to our AI provider. Generated styles remain private until the merchant publishes them; sharing to a separate Styla style library is a separate choice.
Uninstalling disconnects the store, removes saved access credentials and withdraws published/shared looks. Shopify shop-redaction requests remove that installation’s imported catalog and associated generated styles. We may retain limited billing and security records where required. Privacy and deletion requests can also be sent to contact@styla.ca.
1. Information we collect
We collect account and contact details such as name and work email; authentication data managed through our authentication provider; workspace information; product, model-reference and campaign content you upload or create; service activity; and technical information needed to operate and secure the service.
2. Why we use it
We use information to create and administer workspaces, provide generation and export features, store content, secure accounts, respond to support requests, comply with law and improve the reliability of the service. We do not use Customer Content to train Styla’s own models.
3. Service providers and international processing
We use providers that help deliver Styla, including Supabase for authentication and data storage, Vercel for application hosting, Inngest for workflow processing, OpenAI for requested AI planning and image-generation features, and HeyCatch for website and product analytics. They may process information in Canada or other jurisdictions under their applicable safeguards and terms.
4. Sharing and retention
We do not sell personal information. We disclose information to our providers only as needed to operate the service, to comply with law, or in connection with a business transaction. We retain information while an account or workspace is active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, compliance, dispute resolution and backup purposes, unless a longer period is required by law.
5. Your choices and rights
You may request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you, ask questions about our practices, or request account deletion by contacting contact@styla.ca. We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited information where legally required or necessary for legitimate security and recordkeeping purposes.
6. Security and incidents
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No system is completely secure. If a breach of security safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm, we will follow applicable notification, reporting and recordkeeping obligations.
7. Children and updates
Styla is intended for business use and is not directed to children. We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change; the effective date below will show the latest version.
8. Contact
Privacy questions, access requests and concerns: contact@styla.ca. If a concern is not resolved, you may have the right to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or another applicable privacy regulator.
